Abstract
⺠A simultaneous determination method for methionine and galactose was developed. ⺠Chromatographic analysis was performed by HPAEC-PAD. ⺠Met and Gal were determined from blood spot samples and Met/Gal ratio was calculated. ⺠300 normal volunteers, 8 galactosemia, and 3 HCU patients were applied. ⺠It is appropriate to reduce false positives in labs with no galactosemia screening.
