Abstract
⺠PATHFAST Presepsin enables to assay presepsin in human whole blood. ⺠The sensitivity was sufficient to detect presepsin of the healthy group. ⺠This assay correlated well with a previously reported two-step presepsin ELISA. ⺠Presepsin was significantly higher in the sepsis group than in the healthy group. ⺠This diagnostic tool is suitable for sepsis in various clinical situations.
