Abstract
► We report a robust quantification of hepcidin in urine and serum using UPLC-MS/MS. ► Serum iron, TfS, and serum and urinary hepcidin levels increase after FeSO4 [p < 0.05]. ► Oscillation of hepcidin levels in study subjects suggests a negative feed-back loop.
