Fatty liver index as an indicator of metabolic syndrome

Abstract

âº We looked for an early indicator of metabolic syndrome (MetS). âº Study included middle-aged men divided into two groups: controls and MetS-diagnosed. âº Anthropometric, biochemical, haematological and oxidative stress parameters were assessed. âº There was no difference in oxidative damage parameters. âº The algorithms singled out fatty liver index (FLI) as the best variable for diagnosing MetS.
