Abstract

- UVB-induced mutation in the skin epidermis of Polh−/− mouse was analyzed.
- UVB induced remarkably more mutations in Polh−/− than in Polh+/+ and Polh+/− mice.
- UV-signature mutations were predominant in the Polh−/− mutation spectrum.
- Sequence context preferences of the mutations in Polh−/− and Polh+/+ were different.
- Minor but significant recoveries of G → T transversion were observed in Polh−/− mice.
