Abstract
► IL-17 inhibits urokinase type plasminogen activator (uPA) expression in C2C12 myoblasts. ► The inhibition of uPA expression was concomitant with IL-17 inhibition of myogenesis. ► IL-17 inhibits cell migration, in part by decreasing uPA expression. ► IL-17 reduces uPA expression and cell migration by activating p38 MAPK.
