Abstract
⺠Keratin extracted from wool has been transformed into nanofibre mats by electrospinning. ⺠The keratin nanofibre mats have been crosslinked by a thermal treatment. ⺠The thermally crosslinked keratin nanofibre mats are water insoluble. ⺠The water insoluble keratin nanofibre mats can find interesting applications as adsorbent/filter for wastewater treatment or scaffolds for tissue engineering.
