Abstract
⺠Toxicity of bromfenvinphos (BFVF), its impurities and chlorfenvinphos to erythrocyte acetylcholinesterase (AChE) was studied. ⺠The organophosphorus compounds examined in low concentrations induced competitive inhibition of AChE. ⺠Higher concentrations of the compounds studied provoked mixed type of AChE inhibition. ⺠Chlorfenvinphos and dibromo-bromfenvinphos exhibited stronger AChE inhibition than BFVF. ⺠Antiesterase activities correspond with the number of Br atoms at carbon of vinyl group.
