Abstract
⺠The strain BK-21A was the potent to produce protease. ⺠The molecular mass of the protease was 48 kDa and the enzyme was highly active and stable at alkaline pH and high temperature. ⺠The enzyme from B. koreensis showed an excellent stability in the wide range of organic solvents at 50% concentration. ⺠Considering the stability results, the enzyme can be used as an alternative biocatalyst for many industrial applications.
