Abstract
⺠Highly regioselective amphiprotic chitosan derivative was achieved. ⺠Click chemistry was applied for regioselective modification. ⺠The amphiprotic chitosan derivative was soluble under both acidic and basic condition. ⺠The amphiprotic derivative formed nanoparticle under neutral condition.
