Abstract
► Lipases were immobilized by physical adsorption on poly-hydroxybutyrate (PHB) beads. ► Large beads PHB derivatives (LPHB) presented strong diffusional limitations on the olive oil hydrolysis. ► Particle size of the support did not have influence on the butyl butyrate synthesis. ► PFL immobilized on LPHB gave the highest productivity in ethyl esters synthesis. ► BTL2 was found to be highly active in the ester synthesis reactions.
