Abstract
⺠Lipases were immobilized by physical adsorption on poly-hydroxybutyrate (PHB) beads. ⺠Large beads PHB derivatives (LPHB) presented strong diffusional limitations on the olive oil hydrolysis. ⺠Particle size of the support did not have influence on the butyl butyrate synthesis. ⺠PFL immobilized on LPHB gave the highest productivity in ethyl esters synthesis. ⺠BTL2 was found to be highly active in the ester synthesis reactions.
