Abstract
► Addition of MgCl2 is an alternative approach to remove lysozyme from ovomucin. ► Mg2+ enhanced the hemagglutination inhibition and adhesion activity of ovomucin. ► Isolation of high quality ovomucin with MgCl2 solution is sample and efficient.
