Abstract
► We performed chemoenzymatic synthesis of amylose-grafted xanthan gum. ► The hydrogels of the products were prepared through the gels with the ionic liquid. ► The resulting hydrogels exhibited more elastic property than a xanthan gum hydrogel. ► The ionically cross-linked hydrogels were also prepared using FeCl3 aqueous solution. ► The cross-linked hydrogels showed good mechanical property.
