Abstract
⺠We synthesized the chitin based polyurethane bio-nanocomposites (PUBNC) using chitin. ⺠Recommended the maximum contents of bentonite nanoclay into the matrix of chitin based PUBNC. ⺠Synthesized the PUBNCs by varying the bentonite nanoclay contents, characterized and evaluated. ⺠The cytotoxicity of the synthesized material increased with increase in the contents of bentonite nanoclay. ⺠The mechanical behavior of the synthesized material improved by increasing the contents of bentonite nanoclay.
