Abstract
⺠FSH increases StAR mRNA levels in previtellogenic ovarian tissue of eel. ⺠FSH does not affect acute pregnenolone metabolism by previtellogenic ovarian tissue. ⺠StAR transcript abundance peaks before final oocyte maturation in shortfinned eel.
