Abstract
⸠Active vitamin D compounds have been used as therapeutic agents for osteoporosis. ⸠However, active vitamin D compounds stimulate osteoclastogenesis in vitro. ⸠We examined how Eldecalcitol (a new vitamin D analog) inhibits bone resorption in vivo. ⸠We found that Eldecalcitol suppressed RANKL expression in bone. ⸠Characteristics of Eldecalcitol is also described.
