Abstract
⸠Global VDR null mice are predisposed to chemical- or UVB-induced skin tumor formation. ⸠Wnt/beta-catenin signaling alters in the keratinocytes/epidermis of VDR null mice. ⸠VDR may protect UVB-induced skin cancer via interacting with Wnt/beta-catenin pathway. ⸠There is an increase in skin tumor formation in K14-driven, tamoxifen-induced VDR and beta-catenin conditional knock out mice after long-term exposure to UVB irradiation.
