Abstract
⺠Four cell lines were characterised on ERα, ERβ and aromatase levels. ⺠Twelve reference compounds representing diverse estrogenic action were tested. ⺠Proliferation results were compared with the outcomes of the uterotrophic assay. ⺠MCF-7/BOS proliferation assay showed the best correlation with the uterotrophic assay.
