Abstract
- Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) has been previously proposed as an EDHF.
- The involvement of H2S/EDHF is proposed in dexamethasone-induced hypertension.
- EDHF relaxation is significantly impaired in vessels of dexamethasone-treated rats.
- The enzymes CSE and CBS are down-regulated in vessels by dexamethasone treatment.
- Circulating H2S is significantly reduced in glucocorticoid-induced hypertension.
