Abstract
► Peripheral NO/cGMP endogenous control of inflammatory pain was investigated. ► NO-Arg and MB reduced the nociceptive threshold of carrageenan-induced hyperalgesia. ► Zaprinast and l-arginine counteracted carrageenan-induced hyperalgesia. ► Peripheral activation of the NO/cGMP pathway modulates inflammatory hyperalgesia.
