Abstract
⺠We have developed a novel nitric oxide (NO) delivery system. ⺠We have investigated the effects of copper on nitrite decomposition and NO release. ⺠Copper enhances pH/ascorbate induced release of nitric oxide from nitrite solutions. ⺠Nitric oxide induced cell toxicity is more concentration- than dose-dependent. ⺠Potential use in the treatment of impaired microcirculation and wound healing.
