Abstract
⺠A 16-amino-acid peptide, IbACP, was isolated from leaves of sweet potato. ⺠IbACP contained no post-translational modifications and caused an alkalinizing response with plant cell media. ⺠IbACP regulated cellular proliferation and demonstrated anti-cancer effects via apoptosis.
