Abstract
⺠Peripheral vasopressin increases following intranasal oxytocin administration in humans. ⺠This pattern is limited to the first hour following administration. ⺠Vasopressin demonstrates high degree of individual stability over four hours and across six months. ⺠Plasma and salivary AVP are moderately correlated, supporting analysis of salivary AVP using EIA. ⺠Endogenous levels of AVP shape response to intranasal manipulation.
