Abstract
⺠We gave 40 healthy adults a brain dopamine (DA) depleting beverage or a control. ⺠Pre/post-beverage prolactin levels supported the manipulation's success. ⺠Iowa Gambling Task (IGT) deck choices did not differ by beverage group. ⺠However, response time changes for bad decks revealed different IGT response styles. ⺠DA depletion may have blunted reward salience, making punishments more salient.
