Abstract
► Stimulant medications do not improve academic outcomes of ADHD students. ► Sympathetic arousal from drugs and stress might impair memory of ADHD students. ► ADHD and nonADHD undergraduates were tested for the retention of emotional memory. ► Nonmedicated ADHD students recalled less than medicated ADHD or control groups. ► Stimulant drugs improved recall of emotional information.
