Abstract
⺠Food restriction decreased chemerin mRNA level in white adipose tissue. ⺠Refeeding caused the increase of chemerin mRNA level in white adipose tissue. ⺠The changes in chemerin mRNA level were associated with changes in serum chemerin. ⺠Insulin increased chemerin gene expression in primary rat adipocytes. ⺠No effect of nutritional status on liver chemerin mRNA was found.
