Abstract
⺠Patients with AAA appeared with elevated PWV, compared to controls with stable coronary artery disease. ⺠Increased serum levels of osteoprotegerin (OPG), osteopontin (OPN), were observed in patients with AAA compared to controls. ⺠Increased inflammatory milieu was documented in patients with AAA than controls. ⺠PWV was independently associated with mean blood pressure, OPG and AAA diameter which is of clinical importance. ⺠Age and OPG showed a significant association with AAA presence in the whole study cohort.
