Abstract
⺠Endothelial dysfunction is a universal risk factor for kidney allograft failure. ⺠Adiponectin prevents endothelial damage in early stages of atherosclerosis. ⺠We investigated the role of adiponectin in endothelial dysfunction and long-term allograft outcome. ⺠Adiponectin independently predicted increased risk of allograft failure after 3 years.
