Abstract
► We investigated the effect of low-dose intravenous ghrelin on hunger feeling and food intake in healthy humans compared to placebo. ► Effects on hunger and satiety ratings were not significantly different between ghrelin and placebo group, respectively. ► Time point of food intake and caloric intake were not influenced. ► Peripheral ghrelin seems not to play a role in the regulation of food intake.
