Abstract
⺠Hepcidin increases intracellular calcium of cultured hFOB1.19 cells. ⺠Increased intracellular Ca2+ with hepcidin incubation was blocked by nimodipine. ⺠The stimulatory effect of hepcidin on osteoblast intracellular Ca2+. ⺠The role of voltage-dependent L-type calcium channels in promoting the inward Ca2+ flow in this process.
