Abstract
⺠Diabetes condition affects function and morphology of the gut endocrine cells. ⺠Duodenal (I) cells secrete a neuropeptide and gut hormone cholecystokinin (CCK). ⺠In rats, dexamethasone treatment induced diabetes similar to human diabetes type 2. ⺠Changes of the I-cells suggest their compensatory efforts in diabetic condition.
