Abstract
⺠Transplantation (Tx) is the preferred treatment method of end stage renal disease ⺠Obesity is one of the most long-term metabolic complications in Tx recipients. ⺠We examine obestatin (OB) in adults with chronic renal failure and in Tx patients. ⺠OB is involved in the complex mechanisms of obesity and malnutrition. ⺠OB levels in Tx patients were lower than in healthy subject and patients with CKD.
