Abstract
⺠The diet induced obese rat was used to assess the relationships between gastrointestinal motility and gut hormones. ⺠The obese rats had slower gastric emptying, higher leptin and CCK, and lower ghrelin levels compared with lean rats. ⺠Gastric emptying positively related to plasma ghrelin level and inversely related to CCK and leptin levels.
