Abstract
- New 16-carboxamido steroids with unnatural cis C/D ring junction were produced.
- Products were obtained by the aminocarbonylation of 16-iodo-16-enes and 15-enes.
- A great difference in the reactivity of 16-ene and 15-ene derivatives was observed.
- Hydrogenation of the isomeric product mixture led to a new 16α-carboxamide derivative.
