Abstract
Garlic-derived S-allylmercaptocysteine (SAMC) directly interacts with cancer cell membrane-bound receptor low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 6 (LRP6) to modulate the activation of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway. The apoptosis of cancer cell is promoted through the c-Myc- and Mcl-1-mediated pathways, while the proliferation of cancer cell is inhibited via the converged PCNA/p53/p21 regulations.224
