Abstract
Crude extracts of Houttuynia cordata polysaccharides (CHCP) significantly attenuated pulmonary injury in rats in the 'two-hit' acute lung injury induced by hemorrhagic shock plus lipopolysaccharide (LPS) instillation, and inhibited LPS-induced fever in rats. The anti-complementary activity of CHCP plays an important role in its beneficial effects on the inflammatory diseases.652
