Abstract
Mangiferin aglycon derivative J99745 possessed potent xanthine oxidase (XOD) inhibition in vitro. In hyperuricemic mice, J99745 reduced serum urate and MDA content, enhanced fractional excretion of uric acid, and attenuated kidney damage. J99745 might represent a promising antihyperuricemia agent by inhibiting XOD activity and urate transporter 1 expression.183
