Abstract
Vision is the sensory sensitivity devoted to the perception and integration of visual information. The stages of this mechanism include the refraction of light, which depends on the eye's biophysical properties, phototransduction assured by photoreceptors, the detection of differences in brightness by the retina and the conscious perception of the scene by the central visual areas.
