Abstract
Prevalence of pathogenic bacterium, B. subtilis isolated from eggs indicated transovarial transmission in the silkworm, B. mori. The transovarial transmission of B. subtilis was confirmed in the silkworm, B. mori on the basis of bioassay and 16S rRNA homology analysis.
