Abstract
Hypertension in children and adolescents is usually asymptomatic. Hypertensive urgency and emergency with signs of organ (brain, heart, kidney) insufficiency seem to be a urgent manifestation of the disease. Malignant hypertension in children and adolescents is usually secondary to renal parenchymal disease or renal artery stenosis. Two case reports reveal spectrum of organ damage due to hypertension of renal origin in childhood. Only systematic blood pressure measurements in children may lead to early diagnosis of hypertension and therefore prevent from severe complication of the disease.
