Abstract
Abdominal pain in children is a common symptom of intussusception, which is usually connected with vomiting and bloody stools. In the majority of cases of intussusception in children the etiology is unknown and the main point of diagnostics is abdominal ultrasound. This case describes a 5-year-old girl with recurrent abdominal pain, bloody stools and weight loss. The abdominal USG did not reveal any pathology, but during colonoscopy we found intestinal polyp. The next step was surgical operation which showed that this image of polyp was imitated by intussusception. The aim of this article is presentation of diagnostic difficulties in pediatric patient with non-typical gastrointestinal symptoms.
