Predictors of metformin failure in gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM)

As women with higher fasting glucose levels have higher chance of necessitating insulin in later pregnancies, appropriate addition of insulin at metformin initiation for these women could help better glycaemic control throughout pregnancy.
