Abstract
This document synthesizes and evaluates recommendations based on the expert consensus on congenital cardiopathies in adults, in order to help select the best possible strategy for managing individual patients, not just based on the final outcome, but also employing the risk/benefit balance of a given diagnostic or therapeutic procedure. Its main objective is to provide some guidelines to assist physicians in making clinical practice decisions with regard to clinical events such as atrial septal defects, patent foramen ovale, ventricular septal defects, persistent ductus arteriosus, and coarctation of the aorta.
