Abstract
Gastrointestinal vasculitis, a rare clinical entity associated with autoimmune diseases, is due to an inflammatory process of the microvasculature. The case is reported of a teenager with systemic lupus erythematosus and catastrophic antiphospholipid syndrome, who presented with upper and lower gastrointestinal bleeding. The disease was diagnosed using the endoscopy findings. The treatment consisted of steroids and rituximab.
