Abstract
A total of 5,095 papers were presented, only 11 (0.2158%) were performed in our country. A total of 1,145 papers were presented in lecture format and only 2 (0.0174%) were made in Mexico. In the case of papers presented as poster, the total number was 3950 studies, 9 (0.227%)s were made by members of our association. In conclusion, the presence of the AMEG at DDW 2016 exposes an unfavorable reality. The AMEG should rethink its role in supporting and promoting research in national centers.
