Quiste biliar en un paciente pediátrico

Cysts are rare bile dilations of the different parts of the biliary tract. They represent approximately 1% of benign diseases of the biliary tract. 80% are diagnosed in children. There are many theories about its origin and pathogenesis, Babbitts theory, the “common channel” is the most widely accepted. Getting a correct diagnosis is essential, given the association between cysts and biliary complications such as cholangitis, biliary strictures, stones and malignancy. The evaluation of the location and length of commitment, are important for surgical planning. The case of a female patient 6 years who underwent endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography with findings suggestive of biliary cyst is presented.
