Abstract
In addition to Frank Parsons’ posthumous publications a third manuscript remained unpublished. The manuscript can be classified as part of the success literature so prominent in Parsons’ era. Within the manuscript is a chapter dealing with interests. Progress in recent years has further defined and provided a comprehensive theoretical overview of vocational interests. Though much has been written about vocational interests over the past 100 years since Parsons’ death, little has been written about Parsons’ own views related to vocational interests. With the recent discovery of the unpublished chapter on interests, Parsons’ own thinking related to interests can finally be added to the history of interests.
