Abstract
We investigate the Cauchy problem for the 3D MHD system with damping terms |u|αâ1u and |b|βâ1b (α, βâ¯â¥â¯1), and show that the strong solution exists globally and uniquely if one of the following four conditions holds, (1) 3â¤Î±â¤278,βâ¥4; (2) 278<αâ¤72,βâ¥72αâ5; (3) 72<α<4,βâ¥5α+72α; (4) αâ¯â¥â¯4, βâ¯â¥â¯1. This improves the previous results significantly.
