Abstract
Depositional mineralogy of the grainy lithofacies is interpreted to have had an impact on the effectiveness of cementation and dissolution, controlling the reservoir heterogeneity. Due to excess of cementation, reservoir quality is worse in grainstone microfacies rich in aragonitic components and better in grainstone and packstone microfacies poorer in aragonitic grains but affected by late dissolution of micrite. The integration of all these data resulted in a more precise understanding of the reservoir quality and heterogeneity.
