Abstract
A new family of basal proctotrupomorph wasps is established based on three new species discovered from mid-Cretaceous Burmese amber and allied to the superfamily Proctotrupoidea. The family Peleserphidae fam. nov. contains two new genera: Peleserphus gen. nov. with two new species, the type P. brachyurus sp. nov. and P. genalis sp. nov., and Peleproctus gen. nov. with P. dolichurus sp. nov. The new family is interpreted as a specialized close relative of the basal proctotrupomorph family Mesoserphidae.
